Which LEGO sets are most in-demand from resellers? According to WILCO Toy's sales figures, the top-3 LEGO best sellers on the aftermarket in Q3/Q4 2024 were: Dungeons & Dragons CMF Box of 36 (6516259), Mountain Fortress (910029), and the Mos Eisley Cantina (75290). Big changes from 1H 2024 as we saw top-selling LEGO set the Imperial Star Destroyer (set 75252) drop to #9 on the list, and the Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack (set 75372), and A Minifigure Tribute (set 40504) drop out of the top-25 LEGO best sellers completely!
Best LEGO sets by total aftermarket sales (Q3/Q4 2024)
Beyond the top-3 best LEGO sets of the year, it's clear that certain themes continue to drive significant aftermarket sales. The Modular Buildings series and Bricklink Designer Program sets dominated the charts in Q3/Q4 2024 - both continuing to command high prices and attract significant sales volume. 2H 2024 also saw increased demand for holiday sets, including last year's LEGO Snowman Polybag (set 30645) and the popular Winter Holiday Train (set 10254) from 2016. Interestingly, Gifts with Purchase (GWP) sets, like the Books are my Passion (set 40698), also continue to be among the best LEGO sets of the year in the aftermarket, with many collectors who missed the purchase window or who weren't looking to spend hundreds on sets turning to LEGO resellers to seek out these exclusive models to add to their collections.

Besides ultra rare vintage sets, the most expensive LEGO sets are often promotional kits given out to employees or exclusively available at conventions or events. Of the top-five most expensive LEGO sets in 2024, two were convention/promotional sets: H.C. Andersen's 'Clumsy Hans' (set 4000020) available only in 2015 at the LEGO House as part of their Inside Tour campaign, and Spider Woman Blister Pack (set comcon027) available for a limited time at San Diego Comic Con 2013.
