The LEGO Group first started releasing "Battle Packs" in 2007 with their Star Wars Droids and Clone Troopers sets. They were quickly followed in 2008 with Castle Fantasy-Era Skeleton and Knights battle packs. Although not officially released under the "Battle Packs" line, the first all-minifigures sets date back to the 1980s Castle line and include sets such as Knights (0016-1), Castle Minifigures (6002-2), and Knight's Process (6007-1).
